Until the end of October you can once again enjoy our Baden specialties, after that we’ll bring you SayCheese in the same place, melting cheese lovers’ hearts.

Thank you & a heartfelt goodbye
It is with a heavy heart that we share our decision to pass on our beloved Wirtshaus Mättle to new hands in spring 2026. This has not been an easy choice – you, our guests, and this house have grown so close to our hearts over the past years. Yet continuing in the same way would go beyond our capacities. And so, at the end of October, we will say goodbye – at least for now.

Your loyalty and passion turned the Mättle into a lively meeting place for Lörrach and beyond. Tourists, travelers, locals, friends from Switzerland – you all sat side by side, feasting, celebrating, and sharing unforgettable moments with us.

From Mättle to Say Cheese – the cheese fondue pop-up restaurant
Until October 31st, we’ll continue to spoil you with your favorite dishes. And starting November 5th, the same place will become Say Cheese! – where we say farewell with warming cheese fondue and cozy winter vibes before passing on the keys next year.
